Peptide

A peptide is a short chain of amino acids linked together.

Why it matters: Certain peptides are designed to act as cell-signalling molecules, essentially telling skin cells to produce more structural proteins or to behave in ways associated with younger, healthier skin. Not all peptides do the same thing.
