Behentrimonium Methosulfate
Behentrimonium Methosulfate
Behentrimonium Methosulfate is a gentle conditioning agent and emulsifier derived from rapeseed oil. Despite the name, it is not a sulfate like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and does not have the same cleansing or irritating properties. It helps soften and smooth the skin, improves the texture and stability of creams and lotions, and reduces the greasy feel of oil-rich formulations. It is also widely used in haircare products to reduce static, improve detangling, and leave hair feeling softer and more manageable.
